The 30th National Wheelchair Softball Tournament Champs!

August 12, 2006 Chicago, IL - The St. Paul Saint Wheelchair Softball Team are the 30th National Wheelchair Softball Tournament Champions. Beating the Chicago Cubs of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) by a score of 6-5. Down by a run 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning the Saints scored the tying and winning run with one out. Rick Cooper’s (Dallas, TX) single to left drove Joe Arends (Maple Grove, MN) in for the winning run.

Five Saints were selected All tournament including Scott Berg (LC) who was selected as Tournament Most Valuable player.
